The PAK7 Media School is a 10 week residential course where you will learn the fundamentals of Video Production and have access to quality production equioment. The style of learning is a mixture of classroom instruction and practical exercises. You will practice making documentaries, TV commercials, interviews, and even short dramas. In this course we also have devotional sessions where we discuss and grow in our Christian faith. We also reflect on how our faith influences our filmmaking.
During the course you will learn
We are looking for young people (18-29) to take part. To be selected for this course you must be willing to learn, good at working in teams, enthusiastic, talented, hard working, committed to pursuing a career in media. Evidence of some attempts to produce something prior to this course is important. Previous experience in Mass Communications would also be beneficial.
During this course candidates will study the ways in which short films, documentary, social media, and live television content is produced right from idea generation and pre-production to execution and the post production process. Candidates will get the opportunity to work regularly with both local and international media professionals enabling them to get an insight of the media industry first hand. Graduates of this course will be ready to take on a variety of roles in areas including idea generation, content production, editing, and post-production.
Top selected students will be taken into the PAK7 Internship programme where they will work on PAK7 productions alongside our media team to further develop their skills and abilities. NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL BE INVITED TO JOIN THE INTERNSHIP. For those selected, the twelve month internship programme will enable these young people to financially support their families as well as prepare them to step foot in the media industry professionally.
Shortlisted candidates must go through an interview process in person and attend the selection weekend where final selections will take place: May 26th- 29th, 2023. Murree.
