The Board of PAK7 US is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark Hausfeld to be the first President of PAK7 US effective June 10, 2019 after a prayerful one year search process. Dr. Hausfeld brings a wealth of ministerial, academic and field experience to the post. Dr Hausfeld and his wife, Lynda have been married 35 years and live in Ozark, Missouri. They have served the people of the Greater Middle East since 1992.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Hausfeld said "The peoples of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are vitally strategic spiritually, economically and geo-politically in today's world. Therefore, to be PAK7 USA President is a sacred responsibility that I embrace with gratitude, joy, and honor to show Pakistan God's love."
Mark has more than thirty-five years of pastoral and ministry experience. His foci have centered on urban settings in North America, Central Asia and particularly Pakistan.
Mark became President of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri on July 1, 2015, where he served for two years. He oversaw the consolidation of Evangel University, Central Bible College and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS).
His three Hogan lectures and monograph focused on Islam in America. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of Urban and Islamic Studies at AGTS and teaches at other universities, seminaries and graduate schools in the United States and globally. He started and directed the seminary’s Center for Islamic Studies in 2008. He continues to serve as a professor of Urban and Islamic Studies for AGTS.
Dr. Hausfeld served as the international director of Global Initiative (2009-2015). As the director, Mark collaborated with national churches around the world, AGWM regions, and local churches in the United States to equip and mobilize them.
From 2000 to 2008, Mark served as the Area Director for Central Eurasia. In this role, he provided pastoral care, strategic consultation, and administration.
Mark and his wife, Lynda, served in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from 1995-2001. During that time, they started Teen Challenge Pakistan. Before working for AGWM, Mark pioneered and pastored an inner-city, multi-cultural church on the south side of Chicago for ten years.
Dr. Hausfeld received his Bachelor of Arts from Evangel University, a Master of Divinity from AGTS, and a Doctor of Ministry (Urban Missions) from Northern Theological Seminary.
